September 19 - It's a Good Start of Nothing (Single Release)

Out today is the final single before the album release, It's a Good Start of Nothing. It’s a Good Start of Nothing takes its name from a dyslexic twist on “a good start of something” a slip that unexpectedly revealed something more fitting. Centered around swirling sonic elements and grounded by a low bass, it explores how complexity can emerge from apparent randomness. Like the title itself, it embraces the unknown, suggesting that beginnings don’t always need definitions and the act of making doesn’t need a clear end. Sometimes, not knowing is part of the shape. It is necessary to the process. And maybe, in the end, this is nothing. And that’s okay.

The full length album comes out on Hologram Opera October 10th and will be available on cassette.

August 29 - La Colina (Single Release)

Out today is La Colina by Yoann Pisterman. La Colina was inspired by warm memories and landscapes of southern France and Italy. It evokes the simple act of wandering, watching insects crawl along a sunlit earth wall by an old road leading to a small hill. The piece explores the quiet and the small, and acts as a response to a broader cultural tendency, in electronic music, experimental work, and visual art—where emotion often needs to be intense, dark, or disruptive to be felt. La Colina moves in the opposite direction. It challenges the listener to engage with tenderness and vulnerability, to reconnect with a childlike way of seeing: curious, sensitive, and open.

Legacy of Garek J Druss
[February 28, 1980 - February 17, 2025]

We are honored to support Anna Telcs (Garek's beloved) and family in helping preserve and share Garek's incredible catalog of art and music - of which all proceeds will go directly to continued releases and to his love, Anna and their son Aven.

Made available today includes one of Garek's latest works DEEP JOY, a beautiful chapbook and very limited signed posters featuring illustrations of visions and manifestations during breath work sessions. Along with his TERRA+AETHER bandanas and INTUITION lapel pins.

Garek's solo records are still available through Debacle Records as well! Including vinyl editions for OHR EYN SOF - Youth Eternal and Soft Fascination (highly recommended).

In the future and working with his family, we will be releasing more prints and music from Garek's vast catalog of work. We are humbled to have Garek a part of HOLOGRAM OPERA. Always missed, and always keeping the flame ablaze.

Hologram Opera welcomes Yoann Pisterman!

Yoann Pisterman is a French sound artist and composer based in Berlin. Originally trained in visual arts, his practice began with drawn landscapes blending architecture and vegetation. Sound emerged in response and gradually became the core of his work. He describes it as “painting with sound.” His compositions move between ambient, kraut, electroacoustic, and experimental forms; balancing softness with density, surface with depth. A kind of childlike topography for deep listeners: light yet intricate, subtly shifting perception and sculpting space. His second full-length is set to appear on Hologram Opera in October 2025.
